Kristian Vigenin to Students: You Will Create the Conditions for Healthier Habits Among Bulgarians
The MEP was a guest at the patron’s day celebration of the Vocational School of Food Technology “Prof. Dr. Georgi Pavlov”
“Food safety, clean and healthy food are essential factors for a full life and good health. You are the people who will take care of and create the conditions for Bulgarians to develop better eating preferences and habits, and to live healthier lives. I commend you for choosing a profession that is so important today.” This was stated by Kristian Vigenin, Head of the Delegation of Bulgarian Socialists in the European Parliament, in an address to the students of the Vocational School of Food Technology “Prof. Dr. Georgi Pavlov.” He accepted the school’s invitation to participate in the celebration of its 74th anniversary.
“It is an honor for me to be part of your celebration. As a Member of the European Parliament, I also work on issues related to healthcare and food safety. My presence here today is just the beginning of our partnership and future cooperation,” Vigenin told the students and their teachers. He expressed confidence that future joint discussions and initiatives would help students see the subjects they study from a different perspective and understand how European institutions can support their knowledge and career development.
“You can count on my support. I’m already familiar with some of your projects, and starting next week, I will create the necessary conditions to initiate their advancement,” he added.
At the start of the celebration, Vigenin was welcomed by the hosts with the traditional Bulgarian bread and salt. The students presented a colorful program showcasing their diverse talents. Traditional Bulgarian folk dances and songs created a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere for the students, teachers, and guests on the festive day of the Vocational School of Food Technology “Prof. Dr. Georgi Pavlov.”
