Kristian Vigenin: It is time for decisions, it is time for a different Bulgaria

„While others create problems and while others comment on the problems, we come forward with solutions. Because the time for decisions has come. A time in which the people who want a different Bulgaria must unite and promise one another that Bulgaria will be truly governed by the rule of law, truly democratic and truly social, as it is under the Constitution.“ This was stated by the Deputy Chair of the BSP and MEP Kristian Vigenin at the presentation of the Programme for the accelerated development of Bulgaria of the BSP, UNITED LEFT coalition. Over two months, he and dozens of experts from all the parties in the coalition drew up the document, which contains 100 solutions for resolving the problems in every sector of public life.

„We will work tirelessly so that young people in Bulgaria have a chance. We will work so that people are educated and healthy. We will work to close the social inequalities that are deepening ever more. We will work so that the Bulgarian economy is competitive and so that we climb up from the bottom of the rankings in which we have been anchored for 20 years“, Kristian Vigenin set out the left’s main goals. He highlighted the fact that the time is coming for something new and different: „The time is coming for a truly left policy, which will be carried out by a truly left coalition, motivated to work tirelessly for a different Bulgaria, which many people have dreamed of but until now did not see the people who can achieve it.“

The Deputy Chair of the BSP recalled that the idea for the programme was born in Stara Zagora, where an Address to the Bulgarian people was signed setting out the left’s common goals, commitments and priorities: „Then we promised one another that we would develop this idea into a programme for the development of Bulgaria and that these common priorities, around which we united at the time, would also become the basis for forming our coalition. We now have the BSP, UNITED LEFT coalition and today we are also presenting the programme, our hundred solutions.“

„I believe that together we will manage at the forthcoming elections to show that against the background of the chaos something new and different is being born, which will give our country its future“, Kristian Vigenin concluded.
