Kristian Vigenin congratulated the women from the Home for Elderly People in Gorna Banya

„Care and respect for you are our thanks for the love and support you have given so generously throughout your lives.“ With these words the head of the Delegation of the Bulgarian Socialists in the European Parliament Kristian Vigenin congratulated the women from the Home for Elderly People in Gorna Banya on 8 March. He gave them a sewing machine to work with in the improvised sewing workshop they have set up in the home. Vigenin presented flowers to the elderly ladies, as well as audio speakers for the television in the home.

The women thanked the MEP for marking their holiday and acknowledged the contribution of the Socialists to the increase in pensions. They shared their concerns about the rising prices of products and their quality. The elderly people and the management of the home expect it to be renovated under a European programme and to become more comfortable.

The hosts invited Kristian Vigenin to visit them again, with no particular occasion, so that they can raise the questions that concern elderly people.
