Kristian Vigenin in Kardzhali: I am an optimist, because I sensed constructive energy. People are tired of stagnation
The BSP, UNITED LEFT coalition opened its campaign in Kardzhali
„Today the world is in the hands of educated people. Whenever it is in the country’s government, the BSP pushes through important decisions in education. Unfortunately, in Bulgaria it is obstructed. If education were good, more people would vote for the BSP.“ This was stated by the Deputy Chair of the BSP and MEP Kristian Vigenin at the opening of the campaign of the BSP, UNITED LEFT coalition in Kardzhali.
The BSP regional leader and long-serving head of a local school Milko Bagdasarov stressed that it is no coincidence the event is being held on Teachers’ Day, as 70% of the candidates on the list for the forthcoming parliamentary elections are teachers. Education is among the main priorities in the left’s programme, which contains 100 solutions for the development of Bulgaria. Kristian Vigenin noted that the socialists remain true to themselves and are proposing many measures affecting education.
The leader of the list Georgi Kyuchukov, who is a teacher, congratulated the teachers on their professional holiday and said that everyone is grateful to their parents and teachers. He said he owes most to three of his teachers, the late Dimitar Arnaudov, who taught him love of his country, Milko Bagdasarov for the lessons in diplomacy, and Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov, who revealed to him the secrets of the Eastern Rhodopes.
The list’s priorities
„The prosperity of our country is a common cause. We managed to come together after years of confrontation in the name of Bulgaria. Our main opponent is the country’s problems“, the Deputy Chair of the BSP Kristian Vigenin emphasised.
He set out the important goals: „Young people and state support for housing and the birth rate are a priority. We must stop the trend of the poor getting ever poorer and the rich ever richer. The banks and their excess profits are in our sights.“
The candidates in Kardzhali
Kristian Vigenin rated the list in the 9th constituency as excellent, with exceptionally well prepared and capable people on it. „I am an optimist about Kardzhali, because I sensed constructive energy, people are tired of stagnation“, Kristian Vigenin concluded.
