„BSP, UNITED LEFT wants wholesale markets to be built for selling agricultural produce without intermediaries. Bulgarian schools and nurseries must have Bulgarian and organic food, and stronger control over the quality of food in the retail network is needed.“

These ideas were discussed with Bulgarian producers and livestock farmers in the Sliven village of Mechkarevo by the Deputy Chair of the BSP and MEP Kristian Vigenin, the leader of the BSP, UNITED LEFT list in Sliven and outgoing MP Deyan Dechev, and the leader of the BSP, UNITED LEFT list in Yambol Krasimir Yordanov. On the Day of the Bulgarian Producer they joined the traditional exhibition, where more than 150 animals from the best dairy and meat breeds were shown, along with foods produced from pure milk and meat.

The representatives of the left also highlighted their intention to fund vegetable growing, fruit growing, livestock farming and organic agriculture as a priority. Kristian Vigenin explained that through a special Guarantee Fund of 500 million leva, all agricultural producers can have equal access to European funding.

Vigenin and Dechev talked with many Bulgarian producers and committed to supporting the sector in the name of quality food produced in Bulgaria.

The Deputy Chair of the BSP Kristian Vigenin, the leader of the BSP, UNITED LEFT list for Sliven Deyan Dechev, Yordan Stoychev at number 9 on the list and the chair of the BSP in Nova Zagora Rumen Hristov were guests at the celebration of the Nova Zagora village of Sadievo.
