Kristian Vigenin in Elhovo: „BSP, UNITED LEFT“ is the left alternative Bulgaria needs
„It is time for people to put their trust in BSP, UNITED LEFT so that we can end the political chaos. It is time for them to trust the left alternative that Bulgaria needs“, the MEP and Deputy Chair of the BSP Kristian Vigenin said in Elhovo, where he came to support the BSP, UNITED LEFT list for Yambol region. He commented that it is made up of young people, professionals, motivated people who want to change the region and make life better for the people in it, and who have a clear idea of how to do it.
„The BSP, UNITED LEFT list in Yambol region has a strong leader, Krasimir Yordanov. A man who has proved himself professionally and who has a wonderful family. In the short time of the 50th National Assembly he also established himself as a good member of parliament. I am sure that in him the people of Yambol region will have a defender and will be able to raise and solve problems“, the Deputy Chair of the BSP also said, adding that with joint efforts as one team he and the candidates for parliament will work so that Bulgaria and the region move forward and upward.
Kristian Vigenin announced that he stands fully behind the BSP, UNITED LEFT programme for the region and outlined its main points. One of them concerns healthcare and guaranteeing medical staff for the region’s health facilities. „The new Yambol hospital is also nearing completion, and I hope it will start working literally in the coming months“, explained Kristian Vigenin, who made great efforts as an MP for Yambol region to secure the funding for completing and equipping it.
„The infrastructure must also be put right, and as a representative in the European Parliament I will work on a project that is a big one for Bulgaria but exceptionally important for the region, the Elhovo to Edirne railway line“, Kristian Vigenin also said, adding that the roads must be renovated, because the problem is becoming ever more severe, especially the Elhovo to Yambol link.
He also outlined the enormous problem for the whole region, the lack of water. „It is time for a large-scale programme to start for replacing the water supply network across the whole of Bulgaria. The problem of water shortage against the background of climate change will become ever more severe, and if we do not start working seriously on this topic the problems will grow bigger and it will become ever harder to solve them in future“, the Deputy Chair of the BSP also said. In Elhovo he and the BSP, UNITED LEFT candidates for parliament also talked with the mayor of the municipality Petar Gendov, who outlined the municipal challenges related to the ageing water supply network, the frequent breakdowns, the lack of funds for repairing the water and sewerage infrastructure and the waste collection problems that municipalities face.
„It is time to stop the experiments and stand on firm ground, and the firm ground is BSP, United Left with number 28“, Kristian Vigenin urged.
