April 2026 - Newsletter
In April 2026, Kristian Vigenin took part in initiatives at European and international level, focusing on artificial intelligence, industrial regulation and support for business. He was part of a European Parliament delegation to Delhi, where he emphasised the partnership between the EU and India. In Brussels, he worked as rapporteur on artificial intelligence and called for the creation of a European agency for better oversight. Vigenin was also actively involved in legislative work. On simplifying the rules in the chemicals sector, his efforts helped strike a balance between protecting citizens and the interests of industry, including Bulgarian industry. As chair of a working group at SME Connect, he stressed the importance of policies supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. The month also included initiatives in healthcare and the agri-food sector, as well as participation in the Bulgarian public debate, where Vigenin outlined the need for a clearer political direction.
