Kristian Vigenin in Brussels: Artificial intelligence broadens the possibilities for early diagnosis in healthcare

„The future of healthcare lies in prevention, and artificial intelligence is the key to achieving it. More sustainable and effective health systems can be built if analysis and responsible data management are combined.“ This was stated in Brussels by the head of the Delegation of the Bulgarian Socialists in the European Parliament Kristian Vigenin at the discussion „Advancing preventive care: the role of artificial intelligence and data governance“, organised by him and the European Internet Forum. The event was devoted to the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and the management of personal data in preventive healthcare. An emphasis was placed on data protection and the privacy of patient information.

„Artificial intelligence offers significant opportunities for early diagnosis and personalised care, but the success of these technologies depends on the secure and ethical management of health data. Data security and the protection of privacy must be at the heart of every health innovation. Citizens must have confidence that their data is used responsibly, with clear rules on access, consent and control“, Kristian Vigenin pointed out

Verhulst, co-founder and Chief Research and Development Officer of The Data Tank, and Gianluca Violante, Senior Manager for Digital Health Policy at the trade association DIGITALEUROPE.
