In March 2026 Kristian Vigenin was active at both European and national level. The focus was on important topics such as security, energy independence, artificial intelligence and the fight against corruption. In the European Parliament he played a leading role as rapporteur on important legislative initiatives, including the regulation of AI and the Omnibus package, and in the adoption of the first European anti-corruption directive. Vigenin took an active part in the public and political debate in Bulgaria, with clear positions on peace, social justice and the role of the left, and supported the candidates of BSP, United Left across the country.
